GMC ACADIA
The Acadia’s new strategic range offers customers a midsize crossover positioned between the Terrain midsize SUV and Yukon fullsize SUV. Depending on the model, it is available with five, six or seven passenger seats, offering greater maneuverability than the first generation model.
The new Acadia is 317 kilograms lighter than the current model, which translates into benefits at the gas pump. A new 2.5-liter model is standard and offers an estimated 11.9 km/l on the highway for front-wheel drive models (estimated in tests conducted by GM, estimated by the EPA, Environmental Protection Agency for its acronym in English, not yet available). It offers GM-estimated city fuel economy of 9.35 km/l (front-wheel drive) and is bolstered by GMC’s first application of Stop/Start technology, which improves stop-and-go driving efficiency.
A new 3.6L V6 engine is more powerful and efficient than the current model, while offering a towing capacity of approximately 4,000 pounds (with the available tow package). GM estimates 310 hp and 10.63 km/l (FWD models).
